A mini-planning post in which I let you know the possibly insane amount of work I plan to do over the weekend, and then you can share your own equally ambitious itinerary.

Please feel welcome to leave a comment with your own plans, and we can encourage each other over the weekend!

It will either get us going like our hair’s on fire, or we will laugh about it Monday morning…

So here we are, Friday, the first full week of my daily updates. I’m happy to announce that things are going extremely well. We have begun to be found — yay — and there have been lots of folks visiting and checking out the site. A few are subscribing, both to the blog and to the email list.

Tomorrow is “Stats Saturday”, when I’ll give you an update.

My plans?

This weekend I’ll be doing some serious work on social media to get the word out to other folks about the site.

By the way, if you’re liking things around here, pass it along to your social network. That would be great.

I have a couple of forums that I participate in, and I want to spend some time there interacting. I want to spend some time at the “twitter bar” meeting people, and to continue daily posting along with bookmarking and promoting those posts.

I’m also preparing for my focus of next week, which will be Facebook, and I must admit it has me a trembling in my shoes a bit!

This week I also worked with my sponsor on my goals for the coming year with my company. I’m excited, and it promises to be a challenging and rewarding year. By next December, between you and me, I plan to be a Senior Director with my company. I can hardly wait, and it’s lovely to know that I already have so much support within my team and from the company.

I hope you’ve set your goals for the year, and if you’d like to share about them we could support each other with that, too.

Something funny that kept happening yesterday

You know how sometimes within a day or two, the same thing keeps coming up? Over and over again, it’s the same author or the same idea. It’s like the universe is taking a hammer and saying, “Hey, will you finally pay attention?”

Yesterday, and I think for the past few days, that happened to me. The thing that keeps coming up is the issue of a “mastermind” group.

Now I should explain, most of these references are coming from people who are also mentioning Napoleon Hill and/or his book, Think and Grow Rich. I read that book about a year ago and found it wasn’t quite right for me then. Yesterday I rummaged through things and found my old copy, and boy has that book changed for me. The words are literally leaping off the page. Exciting.

Then yesterday I ran across a post from Rachel Henke, about her involvement with something called the “Million Mind March”.  I requested more of Rachel’s information (she has a very nice downloadable free ebook that I’m looking forward to reading in the next few days), and also checked out the site for the group she  talks about in her post. I’m considering it… but need to be aware that I need to maintain a single-minded focus right now. No tangents.

If any of you have experience with mastermind groups or with this particular group, I’d love to hear from you.

Reading and more reading

In the past few days I’ve found a couple of items that you might want to check out.

First, a really terrific (and very loooong) manifesto-type of document I found via a blog called “MLM-The Whole Truth“. The actual document is on the blog of Richard Brooke, so this second link is to the original content and letter… along with fascinating comments that are well worth a read. It’s good to know that people way up on the food chain in this industry are concerned about doing things the right way.

I also found a lovely blog written by Dwayne Huggins, and thoroughly enjoyed his article “Are You Feeling a Pain In Your Network Marketing Business.” The post talks about the pain of discipline, and the pain of regret. Well worth taking a peek and connecting.

And you?

So, my friends, I’d like to find out what your plans are. What will you be conquering this weekend? What tasks have you set for yourself? Do tell.

All my best,

-liz
